Cellomics High Content Screening/Analysis

High content screening (HCS) / Analysis (HCA). Cellomics, or HCS / HCA, enables automated acquisition, visualization and quantification of a large number of images:

  • Automated fluorescence and brightfield microscopy
  • Extraction of quantitative data from intensity and area measurements
  • High through-put format

Examples of dynamic processes that may be measured are:

  • Migration
  • Changes in morphology, expression pattern and intensity

Acquisition and analysis of images of:

  • Live and fixed cells
  • Subcellular targets
  • Small organisms

The high throughput format enables a time-saving, unbiased acquisition and analysis of cells in a multiwall format, or on slides. We have the competence and available time to help you get more data out of your images.
The Cellomics ArrayScan VTI HCS Reader is available for everyone to use.

Services

Assistance with:

  • Setting up image acquisition
  • Setting up analysis protocols
  • Assay validation
  • Trouble shooting
  • Advice and supervision of users for experiments and data analysis
  • Participating in developing new protocols and techniques

Training:

  • Training for image acquisition and protocol development and optimization
  • Provide tutorials and literature
  • Organization of theoretical and practical workshops

Planning:

Contact anna [dot] hammarberg [at] med [dot] lu [dot] se (Anna Hammarberg) and book a time for consultation and planning

Execution:

  • All sample preparation should be done by the user group.
  • Consumables for sample preparation are not included in the user fee.
  • Anna may do data acquisition and analysis in smaller projects and pilot experiments. For repeated experiments the user is gradually trained to become independent in image acquisition, protocol optimization and data evaluation and analysis. Anna will be available for instructions and trouble shooting.

Booking

  • All users that require assistance, book via e-mail to anna [dot] hammarberg [at] med [dot] lu [dot] se (Anna Hammarberg).
  • Independent users have access to the on line booking calendars for the Cellomics ArrayScan (B1135a), and the Cellomics workstation (B1155a).
  • First-come, first-served policy will be applied.
  • In general, booking 10 days in advance will give you a time slot at your wish. However, do not hesitate to book time well in advance, or ask for last minute service if needed!
